INB Quality
Being an essential area for the entire INB production process, the Quality Assurance
performs routine audits to inspect the compliance with the strict quality standards
required in its products, specifically established to comply with the Standards of the
uclear Power Commission Comissão Nacional de Energia Nuclear - CNEN (the Brazilian nuclear regulatory authority)-NORTHROP-11.16 and with the
Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas (Technical Standards Brazilian
Association) - NBR/ISO 9001 requirements.
An audit performed by BRTÜV/TÜV CERT, in August 2002, maintained the certification for
compliance with the ISO 9001 Standard at the Nuclear Fuel Factory - Components and Assembly.
At INB, the Executive Board is committed to Safety and Quality Assurance, through the
Quality Policy Statement, the basis for the Quality Manual at the Nuclear Fuel Factory.
