At the processing unit, uranium is extracted from the ore, purified and concentrated in the form of a yellow
colored salt, known as yellowcake.
This activity is developed at INB Caetité. This enterprise - a uranium
mine associated with the concentrate plant - produces 400 tons/year of yellowcake that besides meeting
the domestic demand, brings in export revenues through activities in the foreign trade.
