UF6 to UO2 Conversion
Once enriched, uranium undergoes several process steps to generate the AUT (ammonium uranyl tricarbonate), a yellow solid compound, which is heated and mixed with hydrogen and steam. The result is a powder used in the following stage: production of pellets.
