Between 2000 and 2015 INB explored, in open-pit, the Waterfall mine, which produced in the period, 3,703 tonnes of uranium concentrate. The extraction is carried out to a depth of 150 meters and has exhausted its ability to produce in the open air.
As the ore continues at lower soil levels, the company submitted to the Institute of Environment and Renewable Resources and the National Nuclear Energy Commission, the underground mining project of the waterfall.
The proposed development of the underground mine is opening the ramp and platters to access the ore bodies, construction and installation of smoke ventilation ducts and exhaustion, several galleries and niches as well as free faces necessary for the mining of the ore.
The expected output is about 400 tonnes of uranium concentrate per year.
